Clayton passed away on Monday, February 5, 2001 at Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow Nebraska.

On January 26, an email message circulated among several of his friends expressing concern and prayers for him. That message became the impetus to initiate a website dedicated to classmates and friends of Broken Bow High School Class of 1957 for which Clayton "Wink" Wenquist had been the president of our class.

Therefore, while this website is unfinished, we hope that all who visit here will respond with email messages providing more information and contact addresses for our class of 1957 classmates so we can keep this website updated.

Clayton requested that a memorial fund established to purchase an air bed for the Broken Bow Hospice and some unspecified expenditures for the Callaway Rest Home and the Broken Bow Presbyterian Church.
