Happy New Year!   For all of December, I was planning our annual Christmas letter;  which has now become a New Year's greeting instead.   Please scroll down to see some of our 2014 highlights,  and click on the blue links below to see some photos.

One major "event" in 2014 was brain surgery that Joe had in May to remove a tumor.  How we do praise God for a successful result.

In March, Tracie accepted a new position with Microsoft and moved from Belgium to Seattle.  She is enjoying living downtown Seattle near the waterfront and spending time with Greg, Cathy, Madi, and extended family.

In September, we traveled to Washington for a family get-together and ... at last  ... we got a nice  family portrait.   On day one, Joe just had to get clam strips on the Seattle waterfront.  Later, we went back to La Hacienda in Arlington for the best Mexican food anywhere.  We also enjoyed Romio's Italian in Belltown, and a great Seahawks game at the 520 Grill in Bellevue.  Also took a day-trip to Northwest Trek  and a ferry excursion from Edmonds to Kingston, to Poulsbo, and Bainbridge ferry back to Seattle.

In December, we enjoyed a delightful weekend excursion to Coronado Island near San Diego.  Oh, the beach, the beach, the wonderful beach!

Last year, we started a new tradition to share   The 20 Most Important Virtues ... one for each year for 20 years (we hope).  Last year, the theme was Love. This year, the theme is JoyPlease click this link for a special Christmas  -and-  Happy New Year message.
