There are two very different kinds of joy . . .
Scroll down for more.
Each year, the Christmas season brings wonderful Joy to the World as more than two-billion people around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Of course, many are just celebrating because it is a festive, traditional holiday ... with little or no thought about the fact that Jesus is the reason for the season.
We all enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations,
colorful lights, holiday parties, feasting, gift-giving,
and acts of kindness and generosity that are rarely seen
throughout the rest of the year.
However, this very temporary seasonal joy lasts for only a brief moment in time ... and then it just vanishes.
How many Christmas gifts do you remember either giving
or receiving over all the years of your life?
How many of the Christmas gifts that you have received
over the course of your life do you still have?
Is it not universally true, that the vast majority of these gifts and holiday
festivities are very temporary, fleeting "joys" that quickly fade away from our minds.
Yet there is one ... and only one ... Christmas gift
that lasts forever ... if we will just accept it.
That gift keeps giving a permanent kind of joy that never fades.
Have you ever accepted that gift? ... God's invitation to join His family? Do you remember the moment?
If you have ever made a conscious decision to accept God's invitation to join
His family, then the moment that you made that decision will surely be
the most memorable moment in your entire life.
Or, if you have never before made that decision, why not do so right now?
It truly is the most important decision you will ever make.
It is as easy as simply saying, "Yes, God. I do want to accept your invitation
to join your family; and I do sincerely want to know you in the most intimate way
possible, and know what your purpose is for my life."
Everything about life changes for the better whenever anyone makes the decision
to put God first in every aspect of their life. That decision marks the
beginning of a new spiritual journey in which one will become progressively
transformed by the renewing of their mind. An entirely new and better
perspective about life will begin to form, and the concept of "Joy" will
become transcendent.
Without making that decision, there is no basis for ever discovering
and experiencing everlasting joy.
