2016 brought a somewhat radical change in our life.
While we had both originally felt that we hoped to live out the
rest of our days in the wonderful home that God blessed us to have
in Mesa, Arizona, Patti changed her mind and decided that
she wanted us to move to a retirement community.
So, guess what? We moved. Because, if momma ain't
happy, ain't nobody happy ;) In case you haven't tried
it recently, here is breaking news: Moving is not fun.
And remodeling a fixer-upper is an ordeal. So, this year
has given us yet another series of life lessons in patience.
Over the past 15 years, we have been blessed to travel far and
wide. This year, the sum-total of our traveling has taken
us just 2 miles down the road . . . although we did
end up traveling quite a few miles back and forth and up and down
those 2 miles.

The other major news this year is, at last, we finally completed
